Family Martial Arts

The Y offers martial arts programs for individuals of all ages. Participants focus on self-awareness, respect, discipline, persistence, self-esteem, and self-cofidence. Martial Arts at the YMCA  help participants learn skills that benefit them for a lifetime.

Youth Basketball

Did you know that basketball was invented at the YMCA? Today, the Y provides instructional, recreational, and competitive leagues for youth.

Youth Basketball

DeLand Family YMCA Youth Basketball teaches boys and girls the fundamentals necessary to play basketball as a team. Kids build their character and basketball skills in a fun, safe environment.

Winter Season: January - March
Summer Season: May - July


Youth Dance

Y Dance class introduces your child to a variety of movements, including ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop dancing basics. Parents are encouraged to observe the first lesson of every month and dance in a yearly recital for family and friends.

 

Ages: 3 to 8 years old

Cost: $45 a month

When: Tuesday & Thursday  4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Youth Soccer

Youth Soccer teaches boys and girls the fundamentals necessary to play soccer as a team. Kids build their character and skills in a fun, safe environment. Everyone has an opportunity to participate because the emphasis is on teamwork, character development and fun!

Youth T-Ball

At the Y, base hits, strikeouts, and homeruns are just part of the game. The most important thing is that youth learn teamwork, sportsmanship and character when they play at the Y. Learning the values of fair play, taught by positive role models, give youth the foundations to grow into adults that make a difference in their community.

Registration Dates:

Port Orange Family YMCA  July 19th - Aug. 29th
Practice begins: Week of Sept. 13th.
Fee: Y Members: $40 Community Members: $75
